Naomi Briago

Naomi Briago is an MPhil candidate with the Department of Social work. Her area of research interests are gender based issues of which she’s currently working on women in the banking sector and their experiences.  She also handles gender sensitive issues and work with Women Empowerment foundation International as the Executive Secretary and currently with Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy as a graduate Assistant.

Tracy Commodore

Tracy Commodore holds a Bachelor degree in Geography with Economics and a Masters degree in Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana, Legon. During her M.Phil. programme, she had the opportunity to learn how livelihoods have been enhanced through environmental protection in different case studies. Her research interests are in the area of urbanization, gender and development. She has worked several terms as a field assistant in research. Miss Commodore is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER).

Grace Abakah Mensah

Grace Abakah Mensah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in African Studies (History and Politics), from University of Cape Coast (UCC). She is currently an MPhil student in the Department of Social Work, University of Ghana. Her research interests include Domestic Violence against Women and Re-integration of ex-convicts. Her current research topic is “Addressing domestic violence against women: the experiences of stakeholders in Greater Accra, Ghana. She believes in determination, humility, respect and veritas.

Sandra Obiri-Yeboah

Sandra Obiri-Yeboah is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Migration Studies, University of Ghana. Her research topic is exploring the “Impact of Climate Change on Psychological Wellbeing and Migration Intentions”. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Population Studies. Her research area covers Migration and Development, Gendered Dimensions of Climate Change impacts and Health related issues. 

Justina Addai



Justina Addai is an MPhil Candidate with the Department of Geography and Resource Development at the University of Ghana. She has a B.A in Geography and Resource Development with French.  Her research interests are gender studies and disaster management. She is currently working on challenges of good governance in disaster management in Ghana.

Gideon Adjei-Mawutor

Gideon Adjei-Mawutor holds a degree in Economics and Philosophy and currently a MPhil student in the Department of Philosophy and Classics, University of Ghana.  His areas of interest include identity politics, feminist epistemologies and the role of (information) technology in construing identities in an increasing  global sphere.  He enjoys reading and watching movies for leisure.

 

Daniel K. Abusuampeh

Daniel Kwasi Abusuampeh is an MPhil student in the Department of Social Work, holds a degree in B.A Social Work and Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Ghana. His current research interests include interpolating Social Workers in Ghana’s Educational System as well as Empowering Women and Children. 

Edward Gborgbor

Passionately known as Edinyo by his friends and colleague workers, Edward has a lot of work experience as a result of working with different institutions. He has worked at Star Assurance Company Ltd as a sales representative, banker at Barclays Bank Ghana Ltd, Tema main branch and as record keeper at Ashaiman Health Centre.

Adelaide L. Asante

Ms. Adelaide Lartebea Asante holds an EMBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Ghana. Prior to working with University of Ghana, she worked as a Personal Assistant to a Barrister at Law, Wings of Justice International (London) and was a Customer Service Assistant at ASDA retail store in the United Kingdom.

Ebenezer Bosomprah

Ebenezer Kwesi  Bosomprah  holds a B.A. and  MPhil degree in social work  from the  University of Ghana. He is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy. He is a passionate advocate for the rights of children, the creation of legal and social systems that protect these rights. He is keenly interested in issues relating to the experiences of juvenile offenders as well as the effects of social media on the youth development and women’s participation in politics.
