CoP Symposium at the 9th Pan-African Mosquito Control Association (PAMCA) Conference & Exhibition
The CoP organized a symposium at the Pan-African Mosquito Control Association (PAMCA) Conference held in Adis Ababa, Ethiopia from 17th-21st September 2023. The theme for the symposium was Advancing the Malaria and Gender Intersection towards Malaria Elimination: Pathways and Futures.
The meeting was facilitated by Professor Irene Kretchy, Coordinator for the CoP, with Dr Deborah Atobrah, Director, Centre for CEGENSA; Dr Jonathan Kayondo, Principal Investigator, Target Malaria in Uganda; Ms. Collete Morlino, Policy Officer, Malaria No More, UK; and Ms. Alexandra Wharton-Smith, PMI Institutional Support Consultant, USAID as the panelists. The symposium was attended by individuals working on malaria and neglected tropical diseases from institutions such as Target Malaria, Clinton Health Access Institute, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
