Mabel Oti-Boadi holds a PhD in Psychology and a Senior Lecturer of Psychology, Department of Psychology, University of Ghana. She is a fellow with the Fox International Fellowship at Yale University and the Center for Suicide and Violence Research-Ghana (CSVR). Dr. Oti-Boadi is also a fellow with the Pan-African Gender Integration Platform (Pa-Gip fellow) at Gender Malaria Policy and Advocacy Project-Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy. She is also an affiliate with the Center for Gender Studies and Advocacy and the Center for Ageing Studies, University of Ghana. Dr. Oti-Boadi has published in peer reviewed journals in areas of adolescent and women’s mental health and the dynamics of parenting children with special needs. She is a licensed practicing Clinical Psychologist in Ghana. She is a former national treasurer of the Ghana Psychological Association (GPA). She is the current national treasurer of the Ghana Association for Suicide Prevention (GASP).

  • Exploring the Lived Experiences of Women with Disability’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Care in Ghana.
  • Exploring self-care in mothers of children with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Perspectives of Parents on the Sexuality of their Adolescent Children with Developmental Disabilities.
  • Predictors of Loneliness among Students in Multiple countries (South Africa, United States, Australia), and within the United States (East coast, Midwest, and West coast).
  • Effect of Sexual violence/assault experiences on Students' Attitudes and Behavior toward Sexual violence.
