Dr. Essoh is the Director of Agence de Medecine Preventive Afrique (AMP Afrique), a sub-Saharan Public African Health Organization headquartered in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, specializing in vaccine clinical development, market access advocacy, health system implementation, and new vaccine introduction. She has served 12 years as an International Program Lead and Senior Research Manager (Europe then Africa) for major vaccine manufacturers including Sanofi Pasteur, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck Sharp and Dohme, and Merck. Dr. Essoh holds a Doctorate in medicine, a master's degree in Health System Administration, and a degree in Vaccinology from the University of Bordeaux-France. She has completed training in Project management (Reed Smith, US) and good practices in Clinical trial and Pharmacovigilance (Pharma School-UK). She is an ADVAC Alumni (Advanced Course of Vaccinology organized by Foundation Merieux and University of Geneva). Dr. Essoh is a member of the GAVI subgroup on the HPV vaccine, GAVI Independent Review Committee (IRC), and the National Immunization Technical Advisory Groups (NITAG), and Co-Chair of the WHO Regional Technical Working Group on Immunization for West and Central African countries.
