Choolwe Nkwemu Jacobs is a Global Health Specialist, scholar, researcher, and epidemiologist. She is the co-founder and director of the Zambian chapter of Women in Global Health (WGH), which she assisted in establishing. She is the head of the Department for Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Zambia. She was a bioethics fellow at the Johns Hopkins University and a women leadership fellow for the Harvard LEAD Program at Harvard University. Throughout her tenure, she affiliated with several UN organizations, civil society groups, and government agencies. She has investigated a vast array of service delivery and access-related topics in her research, including malaria, HIV/AIDS, non-communicable diseases, and maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health nutrition. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from the University of Zambia. She spearheads Women in Global Health Initiatives, with a specific focus on the least developed countries advocating for gender transformative leadership.
